"Time for the Nordics" - a conversation with journalist and author Håkan Larsson

Håkan Larsson is a journalist and has recently published the book "Time for the Nordic Region". In connection with the Berättarfestivalen, Föreningen Norden Skellefteå invites Håkan for an author talk on why the Nordic region is seen as more important than ever in today's troubled world.

With a Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, an unpredictable president in the White House and political unrest in several European states, strong Nordic cooperation is needed. For the first time since the Kalmar Union, all the Nordic countries are on the same defense and security policy basis. This opens the door to closer cooperation in many other areas of society.

Håkan Larsson (born 1950) is a journalist who has worked in various roles on Nordic cooperation since the 1970s. He has also been active in the Center Movement for a long time and has been a member of parliament for Jämtland County. Today, Håkan is chairman of Föreningen Norden Östersund/Jämtland.

The conversation will take place at 18-19 in the Västerbottensrummet in the Library in Sara Kulturhus and admission is free.
