Sara and Africa

African-inspired food is mixed with stories about Sara Lidman's encounter with apartheid and Africa in the 1960s.

"I am ensnared by an incredible law that forbids friendship.
I am now hiding in a secret residence." (11.2 1960)

In 1960 Sara Lidman traveled to southern Africa.
She stayed for almost four years, living in three countries - South Africa, Tanganyika (Tanzania) and Kenya.
Wrote two novels, newspaper articles, many letters, filled seven diaries.

Ellenor Lindgren, Birgitta Larsson, Harald Larsen and Tomas Marklund talk about encounters with apartheid, everyday life in big cities and remote villages. All mixed with African-inspired food from Medlefors kitchen.
