Storyteller Stig Östman makes a welcome return to the Storytelling Festival with his interpretation of Torgny Lindgren's story The Almond Potato.
The longest and perhaps most powerful story in Torgny Lindgren's "Legends" is that of Otto in Korpmyrberget. He is a loner who takes unusually great care of his own homestead. So much so that he also expands it, by occasionally moving the foundation stones. When his brothers notice this peculiar change, they call in a surveyor whose views on law and order prompt Otto to take the law into his own hands. Well, he had to.
Stig ends the evening's program with a greeting from home that never ends...
For Skellefteå audiences, Stig Östman is a well-known and appreciated stage personality, both as a storyteller and actor. Among other things, he has participated in Västerbottensteatern's productions of Norrlands akvavit and Hummelhonung. He has also previously had great success with his storytelling performances based on Torgny Lindgren's stories such as Water.
