Family show. For children from 5 years
"My name is Havaa. I don't like water. It makes you wet. It's scary. I like the sun, the heat, the sand and my grandpa Lebe."
So begins the story of Havaa and her grandfather. Grandpa Lebe tells her one day that he has bought a ticket to take her
the other side of the sea. Havaa gets worried. To comfort Havaa, Lebe tells her a story about another girl - Nirveli - who was also
afraid of water. One day she too has to go out to sea. Deep in the sea sits the sea god Aegir, sulky because he has grown stuck in a
coral reef and jealous of his nine daughters who swirl around the sea like waves. He is accompanied by Herring, Jellyfish and Clam.
Soon their paths will cross...
Using puppets, acting and storytelling, Jan Karlsson gives us a poignant and humorous tale of suddenly being forced to
grow and leave everything that is dear and familiar behind. But Water is just as much a story of hope, courage and imagination.
