Västerbottensteatern is looking for a Producer

As a producer, you'll play a key role in leading our productions from conceptualization to opening night and the final performance. You ensure that each project is carried out with quality, creativity and precision. You will work in the newly built Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå, where we have our rehearsal rooms and our home stage.
Job description
As a producer at Västerbottensteatern, you are responsible for planning, implementing and running productions and projects based on given resource frameworks. The producer role includes responsibility for resource planning for the theater's productions and projects, including finances, premises and staff.
You have delegated budgetary responsibility for the production budget and are the spider in the web during planning, pre-production, implementation and tour period. You are also responsible for the evaluation and follow-up of the productions and projects for which you are the producer in charge.
You will work closely with the theater's artistic director, production technical director and marketing department and regularly participate as an adjunct in the management team. Your immediate superior is the administrative manager. In assigned productions and projects, you are responsible for contact and collaboration with the productions' artistic team, or equivalent.
Your background
We are looking for you who have extensive professional experience from the role of producer in theater and performing arts, and have knowledge and understanding of artistic processes.
You have experience from project or supervisory roles, are communicative and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English. You have knowledge of the conditions and requirements for performing arts production in a cultural institution and enjoy being responsible for the production's finances, budget and follow-up.
We are looking for a producer who is unpretentious and responsive and who has the ability to create and develop good relationships with different professional categories and external partners. You can work independently and are used to driving productions forward.
You are proactive, solution-oriented and contribute to an inclusive working environment. At the same time, you are able to work with parallel timelines and processes and can switch between strategic and operational focus.
About Västerbottensteatern
Västerbottensteatern's mission is to produce, present and develop theater and other forms of performing arts in the county. The starting point and our goal is to give the audience courageous performing arts that touch, enrich and challenge.
The activities are wide-ranging and include in-house productions, co-productions, guest performances, festivals and educational activities aimed at adults, children and young people. Every year, more than 30000 people take part in ourour performing artsperformancesperformances and a further 15000 take part in ourour programming and educational activities.
The stages at the newly built Sara Kulturhus are the home of Västerbottensteatern, we tour mainly in Västerbotten County, but also in the northernmost counties. Our performances and events also meet audiences on other stages, in village halls, schools and other premises. Every year we produce a summer theater that is performed outdoors in Skellefteå.
Västerbottensteatern AB is owned by Region Västerbotten and Skellefteå municipality. We have our production and rehearsal premises, as well as offices in Sara kulturhus in Skellefteå.
