Cat on hot tin roof

The married couple Brick and and Maggie are at the large family farm for the celebration of Brick's father's 65th birthday with the whole family. Slowly but surely, the seemingly beautiful facade is shattered as underlying conflicts and secrets emerge. As a storm hits the farm, the lies of their lives are brought to light and they are forced to face the truth about each other.

The play offers a poignant insight into the rise and fall of humanity, exploring themes of desire, identity and legacy. With sharp dialogues, the audience is thrown into a world of passion, pain and despair.

Considered one of the great American classics, Tennessee Williams' groundbreaking drama was made into a film in 1958 starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman.

A guest performance by Teater Västernorrland.
