WOMEN'S WORK

A story of womanhood and superpowers.

For grandmothers, grandmothers, mothers and dreamers.
For those who have gone before to those who will come after.
For fighting and surviving, tears and laughter. For conversations and opened eyes.
For us. For all we can, will and dare.
The performance wants to highlight women's stories and aspirations throughout our modern history.
About everyday life and power, about coping and surviving and about the legacy of the foremothers.
About womanhood and superpowers.
About how women have always needed safe spaces to support, celebrate and learn from each other.
But what knowledge is important to preserve?
Can we still love embroidering, mangling, ironing, curling ribbons on pillowcases - or is that wasted female power?
What should we spend our time and commitment on?
How should we think and act as modern women in the 21st century?
With humor, blackness, irony and facts, Matilda reflects on her social heritage.
Everything is within reach in this personal reflection on women's lives and history.

By and with Matilda Kjellmor.
