Maj-Lis Hellénius - Eat right and live longer

Mai-Lis Hellénius is the country's only Professor of Lifestyle. Her official title is Professor of General Medicine, specializing in cardiovascular prevention. She, of all people, knows how best to live to protect your health. Now she is coming to Skellefteå and Seniortorget is organizing a lecture during the Berättarfestivalen.

She completed her PhD at Karolinska Institutet with a thesis on how physical activity and healthy food can prevent cardiovascular disease. Since 2006, she has been a professor of general medicine, specializing in cardiovascular prevention and focusing on lifestyle.

Mai-Lis Hellénius has written several books on health and lifestyle. The most recent one was commissioned by the government and titled "Every movement counts". Another book is "Hjärnhälsa", which shows that everything that is good for the heart is also good for the brain.
