By and starring Daniel Goldmann
An improvised news broadcast, live on stage. The audience chooses from the day’s news stories. Even the smallest news item can become an epic opera or perhaps a thrilling Western adventure.
When the world is in turmoil, it can be refreshing—perhaps even necessary—to view news stories, big and small, from a completely different perspective than usual. Actor Daniel Goldmann presents a wildly humorous news broadcast, live from the stage. The audience picks stories from the day’s news feed, and he turns them into improvised theater. Even the smallest news item can become an epic opera or perhaps a thrilling Western adventure.
In previous performances, we have seen, among other things:
The opera “Stefan Takes the Flying Car to Work”.
The horror film “Which Comes First—Language or Thought?”.
The children’s program “Toyota’s New Hybrid Passes the Moose Test”.
The musical “Gaming-crazy capercaillie wrestles down two sisters.”
A panicked Zlatan on a gardening show.
Sports commentary from the Swedish Championships in bog dressage.
And… the weather forecast presented by a talk therapist.
No two performances are alike!
Daniel Goldmann has worked at venues including the Stockholm City Theater, the Riksteatern, the Orionteatern, the Folkteatern in Gävleborg, the Boulevardteatern, and the Improvisationsstudion. In film and television, he has appeared in roles ranging from a villain in the *Beck* series to David Lagercrantz in *Burn All My Letters*.
Review;
“Actor Daniel Goldmann displays an incredibly wide range as he, with the audience’s help, creates a news broadcast that’s hard to forget.” “In short: funny, entertaining, and inclusive.”
