CONVERSATIONS ABOUT OUR NEED FOR (CREATION) STORIES

In connection with Thomas Andersson's new performance When Our Lord Made Bygdsiljum and all the rest, we have invited the priest Susanne Dahl and the religious scholar Daniel Pettersson to a conversation about our need for (creation) stories to explain and understand the world and our place in existence.

In addition to stories about how the universe was created, the creation stories of world religions also contain guidance on how people should live their lives. Based on some of the questions that Thomas Andersson asks in the performance, we talk about which stories guide us in today's secular and individualized society? What is the significance of art in the form of music and poetry, for example? What does it mean that we use nature as a spiritual space or that "we read nature like a book"?

Place: Trappscenen, Sara kulturhus.
Price: Free admission, ticket required. Coffee sales.
