In the fall of 2026, two well-known actors from Västerbotten will take on the challenge of bringing Torgny Lindgren’s rich prose to life. *Störstorden* will be brought to life by Mattias Fransson, who has previously appeared in *Klungan* and *Mammas nya kille*, among others, and Ellenor Lindgren, who has spent much of her career in Sara Lidman’s world but has now taken on Torgny Lindgren.

– I’ve always been fascinated by Torgny’s language, his humor, and the grotesque—the contrasts between the very concrete and the magical. Anything can happen—in the definite form!

In the short stories I’ve chosen to weave together in this dramatization, words have a very concrete meaning—they become flesh, in the truest sense of the word. And I think this stands in stark contrast to today’s media landscape, where it seems you can say just about anything, only for convention to take it back the very next day. The meaning of words is watered down. But here you have it: the wavy hair and the shiny buttons. It’s definite and precise.

Based on this humorous text and these abhorrent yet beautiful characters, we invite you into a world where words have meaning and sentences have significance.

It will be a grotesque and bombastic production in which Lindgren’s short stories meet two of Västerbotten’s most brilliant storytellers and personalities, in collaboration with choreographer Sara Ribbenstedt, comedy consultant and director Helena Lindegren, and Västerbottensteatern’s artistic director and director Johanna Salander.
