Tell a Story with Weaving – Woven and Done

Welcome to a performance where weaving and oral storytelling come together—two of our oldest art forms. A collaboration between Västerbottensvävarna and the Skelleftebygden Storytellers’ Association.
Both art forms are crafts in their own right—oral storytelling brings stories to life and conjures a thousand images with words, while weaving is a marvelous craft to master, one that can be used both for practical purposes and for the sheer pleasure of admiring the results.
The performance “Vävt och klart” is the final product of the “Berätta en väv” project, in which weavers and storytellers inspired one another throughout the fall.
