Storytelling Walk – From Bryggarbacken to Nordanå

Join us on a storytelling walk along Strandgatan, where we’ll hear stories about the people, events, and phenomena that have left their mark on Skellefteå’s history.

During the walk, we’ll learn about, among other things, the 1888 city fire, the Skellefteå Southern Workers’ Association, and the tar merchants who controlled the local tar trade before it was exported. We’ll also gain insight into life and work along the river and the changes that have shaped the city’s growth.

We'll meet at the fountain in Stadsparken and walk together along Strandgatan toward Nordanå. The walk takes just over an hour.

The walking tour will be held on two occasions:
Tuesday, October 13, 11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Thursday, October 15, 6–7 p.m.

Free of charge, but registration is required.
