In this narrative walk, we hear about one of the most memorable moments in the region's history - the Battle of Lejonströmsbron in 1809.
Jörgen Andersson, archivist at Skellefteå Museum, shares his knowledge and stories about the dramatic encounter between Swedish and Russian forces, and gives us a deeper understanding of how the event affected both our neighborhood and Sweden's history. We meet at Nyborg on Nordanå and walk together to Lejonströmsbron, where we get a vivid insight into events that shaped our part of Sweden.
The guided tour will be held on two occasions:
Wednesday, October 15, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 18, 10.30-11.30 am
Free of charge but registration required!
