A love story about a woman who waited a lifetime for hers to begin.
It's the story of roadside communities where soccer and pizzerias are the last things to abandon people. Britt-Marie, 63, has just left her 40-year marriage behind and is starting her life anew. The only work she can get is in Borg, a community about which the nicest thing you can say is that it's on a road. Borg has nothing left but football. Britt-Marie hates football. This is certainly not the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
"Britt-Marie was here" is a celebration of life that, with humor and warmth, invites us to leave the auditorium and take advantage of everything we hold dear. The performance is based on Fredrik Backman's book of the same name. Eva Dahlman is currently directing the critically acclaimed "Who is afraid of Virginia Woolf?" at Helsingborgs Stadsteater and the previous successes "Påklädaren" at Dramaten and "Egenmäktigt förfarande" at Scalateatern in Stockholm.
