Welcome to a historical walk through our local history exhibition Storsia together with Maja Östlund, museum host at Skellefteå Museum.
For one hour, she takes you on a journey through the democratic development of our region - from early forms of consultation and local governance, to the rise of the people and the fight for women's suffrage. Maja highlights stories of the people, movements and key events that shaped our place, while placing them in a wider context. How was our village affected by the ideas and changes that spread around the world? And how have people here fought for their right to influence? An engaging and thought-provoking guide to the path of democracy - seen through the local perspective.
The guided tour will be held on two occasions, Tuesday October 14 and Wednesday October 15.
There is no cost to join but due to limited space, registration is required.
