Karl-Bertil Stenmark – an outstanding wood sculptor

The farmer and artist Karl-Bertil Stenmark (1912–1989) lived most of his life in Gummark. In the large country kitchen, he carved wooden figures and painted pictures
during the evenings and nights. He went on to carve some 70 groups of figures—
depicting working life and farm life in northern Sweden—which were exhibited at the Skellefteå Museum. Kalle Boström will talk about the artist and the fantastic collection of wooden sculptures on display at the Skellefteå Museum.
