Evert Taube - Master of the Song

UKULELEORKESTERN tells the story of Evert Taubes' childhood on the island of Vinga, his adventurous life as a sailor and the hard work on the Pampas in Argentina. During his years at sea he gathered many experiences, which he would later use as material in his songs and other poetry.

Evert Taube is considered one of our great national figures. His rich production includes prose and poetry as well as drawings, watercolor and oil paintings, but it is for the songs, over 200 in total, that he is best known. Evert, who also loved women, finally found peace when he started a family with the artist Astri.

The story is spiced up with beautiful songs from Evert's lesser-known songbook.
