Saga Becker lecture

Saga Becker is a writer, actor, director and lecturer who made her name with the movie "Something Must Break" (2015)for which she was the first transgender woman to win a Guldbagge for 'Best Actress'. Since then, she has she has she has, among other things appeared in Sommar i P1, written and directed the short film "fuckgirls" and published her debut novel "Våra tungor smakar våld".

 

In her personal and straightforward way, Saga talks about what it was like to grow up as a sensitive and feminine boy in a small Swedish town and feel that something is wrong. The stress and challenges of not fitting into society's norms - and what it should be like to grow up. Based on her own experiences, Saga invites listeners to gain more knowledge, new perspectives and ideas to take with them both in working life and in everyday life. She reaches out to both adults and young people with her story and has become a great role model for many.
