The boys behind the streets

Högströmsgatan, Nordlandergatan and Brandells väg are well-known features of Skellefteå's streetscape. But who were they, the guys who named the streets?

In an old vicarage environment, Elisabeth Engberg, historian at Umeå University, talks about three Skellefteå priests who made an impact in their time.

We meet the missionary, writer and scientist Pehr Högström, the community builder and city founder Nils Nordlander and the parish builder and soul mourner Simon Brandell, three central figures in Skellefteå's history and let them take us on a journey over three centuries, from 1714 and into the present.

Free admission.
