Two young boys, Berra and Benny, make a macabre discovery in a railroad car in Skellefteå in the summer of 1965. They recognize the man dumped among the slaughterhouse remains from the nearby slaughterhouse - he is called the Miner - and they choose not to tell anyone what they have seen for fear of getting into trouble themselves.
