SkeLitt: "The Cloudberry Bog"

"Hjortronmyren" is the first part of the "Timmerfolk" series, a suite of novels in which women are at the center of the story of the magnificent Swedish forest and the conflicts that surround it written by Ulrika Lagerlöf.

Hjortronmyren is inspired by Ulrika Lagerlöf's own family history. Her mother grew up in Bastuträsk in Västerbotten, and in the early 1940s her grandmother worked as a cook in a logging cabin.

Ulrika Lagerlöf works with communication in the forestry industry. She lives in Uppsala and made her debut in 2021 with Stanna hos mig.
