What happens to love when we try to choose a partner rationally? What happens to romance when we only care about our own happiness? And what can we really learn from Glenn Hysén about the single consumerism of our time? And from Britney Spears about the myth of love?
Welcome to a musical and humorous show that holds up a laughing mirror to the present and offers both bizarre and everyday scenes.
Julia Marko-Nord, who successfully directed Rotterdam at Västerbottensteatern in 2022, returns to take on Liv Strömquist's uncompromising, twisted and analytical series about everything from sex, class, power structures and social criticism in general, to feminism in particular.
Liv Strömquist broke through in 2005 with her successful debut Hundra procent fett and has since established herself as one of Sweden's most important cartoonists and cultural personalities.
With books such as Einstein's Wife (2008), Prince Charles' Feeling (2010), The Fruit of Knowledge (2014), The Reddest Rose Strikes Out (2019) and most recently Liv Strömquist's Astrology (2022), she has created a special position for herself as both a sharp satirist and educator.
Her comics have won several awards, have been translated into nearly twenty languages, and have been dramatized extensively. Liv Strömquist also runs the podcast En varg söker sin pod together with Caroline Ringskog Ferrada-Noli and regularly participates in the podcast Stormens utveckling with Ola Söderholm and Jonatan Unge.
