Happy living - My top tips for a long and healthy life

What does movement and food mean for our health and well-being? Welcome to an open lecture with Mai-Lis Hellénius who will talk about her new book "Livsviktigt" and give practical advice for a happy lifestyle.

More and more people are becoming aware of the importance of lifestyle for health. Despite this, many people feel that it has become more difficult to know what is really best. We are faced with a lot of advice and sometimes it is directly contradictory. Messages are spread quickly and effectively on social media and it has become more difficult to separate fact from opinion.

Mai-Lis Hellénius is a professor of general medicine with a focus on lifestyle and she talks about what the collective and current research says about the importance of movement, food, stress, and simply lifestyle for our health. What do we do to feel good both physically and mentally? To live long?

The lecture combines theory and practice with practical advice. We get the latest findings on nutritional recommendations and physical activity and tips on how small changes in everyday life can be crucial for our health.

Mai-Lis Hellénius is a professor at Karolinska Institutet and a specialist in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, focusing on our lifestyle, especially physical activity and eating habits. Her books have won prizes and she has received several awards for her research and public health work.
