Life around the vicarage

A historical look back at life around the current Stiftsgården.

What was life like in a vicarage in the 19th century? There must have been a large number of people passing through in one day.

The vicarage family lived their lives there. But there were also maids and farmhands there. Parishioners who needed to visit the vicarage on various matters came and went. In parallel, agriculture was practiced and people lived with the changing seasons that govern sowing and harvesting.
