Per Strömbro sits down with singer, songwriter, author, and journalist Annika Norlin for a conversation about the interplay between lyrics and music. Fanny Lundmark rounds out the program with live music, performing a few personal interpretations of Annika’s songs.
Over the years, Annika Norlin has received widespread attention and acclaim from both critics and audiences for her music and her lyrics. In the fall of 2005, she released her debut album , *Introducing… Hello Saferide*. Since then, she has released music both under her own name and under the stage name Säkert. Annika has received numerous awards and honors as an artist, songwriter, and lyricist.
In 2020, she made her fiction debut with the short story collection *I See Everything You Do*, and in 2023, her novel *Stacken* was published. It won the *Tidningen Vi* Literature Prize and the Swedish Radio Novel Prize.
Before pursuing a career in music, Norlin worked as an editor on *Morgonpasset* on P3 and as a journalist for publications such as *Länstidningen* in Östersund, *Östersunds-Posten*, and *Aftonbladet*, among other assignments in radio and media.
We can therefore assume that words and storytelling have been a strong driving force for Annika Norlin, both in her music and in her purely literary work. Per Strömbro will explore this topic—and, above all, how the interplay between text and music works for her—in his conversation with Annika.
Skellefteå-based musician Fanny Lundmark rounds out the program with her own interpretations of several songs from Norlin’s extensive catalog.
