Life-changing encounters with the Aymara people in their daily lives and during celebrations.
Join us on a moving and humorous journey up the winding trails of the Andes, where music, community, and wisdom come together. In this autobiographical performance combining song and storytelling, Gitte Pålsson takes us back to her years as a young music volunteer in Pampahasi, a suburb of La Paz, Bolivia. Between 1983 and 1988, Gitte lived and worked in Pampahasi among the Aymara people—a culture where song, dance, and togetherness are a natural part of everyday life, and where music serves as a connection to Mother Earth, Pacha Mama.
A two-act performance; refreshments during intermission are included in the ticket price: 150 SEK per person.
