Topic: What is most important to the children in Skellefteå?

During the 2026–2027 school year, third-grade students at Ursviksskolan and Yttre Ursviksskolan have been selected as this year’s Children’s Rights Pilots. This means they will receive training and deepen their understanding of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, its contents, and its implications. In the exhibition at Sara Kulturhus, they present their thoughts in words and pictures, featuring their letters to politicians and their paintings.

The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) became Swedish law in 2020. It gives all children, regardless of their background, the right to be treated with respect and to be heard. It sets out the rights of all children and we adults have a responsibility to ensure that they are respected.
