Exhibition - The rights are ours!

During the Storytelling Festival October 14-19 part of the Västerbotten Museum's exhibition Rights are Ours! Stories for change.

The exhibition is on display at Västerbotten Museum from June 6, 2025 - April 12, 2026 and is about people's rights, living conditions and dreams where Västerbotten voices are raised for an everyday life free from obstacles. A selection of these hundreds of collected stories from the exhibition is now shown at the Storytelling Festival.

What if there were no barriers for those of us with non-normative abilities? Barriers such as prejudice, inaccessibility and conditional rights. What would everyday life and life goals look like, if what is difficult today would be possible?

Stories are powerful tools for advocacy and change. When one tells, more dare to tell - and when many listen, reflect and act, we can achieve change together.

During the Storytelling Festival, the stories will be presented in Swedish in text and Braille, as well as read aloud.
