Wendy is in the midst of breaking free from her childhood home.She feels trapped and longs for community. Wendy's way of coping with her family situation of caring for her younger siblings is to entertain them with stories about the defiant Peter Pan character who says he can never grow up. Despite the companionship of her younger siblings, Wendy seeks more challenging activities and her anxious parents are bothered by her nightly walks and try to stop her from hanging out with the youth gang that hangs out on their street.
One night, as Wendy looks after her siblings, the exciting fantasy world they fill their lives with suddenly comes to life. Together with the flying Peter Pan, they are thrown into a tumultuous journey of life and death.
Like Barrie's story, the play mixes absurd humor with breakneck drama, but it also touches on

It's a story about growing up or refusing to grow up, about challenging your fears, but also about how a painful goodbye can be necessary to find new paths. In Wendy and Peter Pan, directed by Annika Kofoed, the stage is filled with a large ensemble of actors and dancing musical artists. For audiences who have seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame before, P-O Nilsson's catchy songs will stay with the audience long after they have left the theater.
