The lecture focuses on twenty women born at the beginning of the last century. They talk about their lives and conditions in relationships, childbirth, home and working life, and about their health.
The women's stories are mirrored against the development of society in the 20th century and women's living and working conditions today. Despite major changes, much can be recognized. This applies not least to women's experiences in relationships and in childbearing.
This also applies to women's responsibility for domestic, care and relationship work in the home and in public. This is a responsibility that has not been, or is not, counted as work, but which is necessary for the well-being and health of all people. Women's own health was and continues to be dependent on self-determination over life choices, work, finances and their own bodies.
