Living threads - One and a hundred years with Sara Lidman

Sara's life reflected in letters, diaries, speeches, cartoons, opinion pieces.

It took more than six years. To search for 366 texts from Sara Lidman's personal archive at Umeå University Library. All written by Sara. Most of them unprinted. Now inserted on all days of the year. The oldest text is a letter written by Sara, aged nine, in 1933. The last is a calendar entry four months before her death in 2004.

Ulla Danielsson, Göran Larsson, Hans Marklund, Ulf Lundström and others talk about the idea behind the book, Sara's archive, the project period, the publisher, the texts and Sara herself.

How technology and hearing work, begins excavator and editor Harald Larsen. How he got a "Lidmanian snap". When he got stuck. But picked himself up again after Sara's encouraging call: "live and write and be as you must!" Yours Sara

The program makers expect that there will be many questions, comments and corrections from the audience. Hence the extended program time.

The program is a book release for Upper Norrland. Levtrådar is published by Ordfront förlag.
