Musical Talks-Johan Bergmark

Meet Johan Bergmark, a tinnitus-affected rock'n'roll photographer with a penchant for people. He has won many awards for his image creation, often with personalities in the rock world in focus.

In this Musical Talks, he will talk about chance and choices that don't go as planned.

"All people have a story to tell, and it only becomes clearer and clearer the more I photograph," he says. He photographs for very selfish reasons - he collects people and their stories.

Over the years, he has stumbled upon (and photographed, of course) personalities such as Jonathan Richman, Lou Reed, Quentin Tarantino, Susan Sarandon, Willem Dafoe, Roger Moore, Uma Thurman, Jakob Hellman, Ernst Hugo Järegård, Alicia Vikander and Matti Alkberg among many others.

The images are powerful! The meeting is real! Listen to Johan's story about what he does, or doesn't do, to get these people relaxed.

Musikaliska Talks is a series of talks organized by the Skellefteå Musikaliska association. The idea is to highlight inspiring and interesting stories with a personal approach. The conversations should provide a positive input to the development of Skellefteå's cultural life in general and music in particular.

Skellefteå Musikaliska is a non-profit organization that works to support and develop music culture with the conviction that a thriving cultural life is a supporting part of our growing Skellefteå.
