Two authors, each with a current book, meet in a performance where the common starting point is questions about man's place on earth and in history.
Till minnet av Lajka, 2024, is Jannike Lundgren's second novel. It depicts the protagonist Ellen's work at a home care service somewhere in Västerbotten and the people and destinies she meets there, at different stages of life. On another level, it is about the relationship between humans and animals and our position on and attitude to the planet. It takes place between life and death, big and small and everything in between.
Luften som kunde tala (2024; The Air That Could Speak ) is a work of poetry by Jens Unosson, a kind of long poem critical of civilization, which on the one hand deals with the days on a small farm, the people, animals and trees that have lived on it over the centuries, and on the other hand takes on life and death from a slightly esoteric point of view.
What both works have in common is that they are firmly rooted in the sparsely populated areas of Western Ostrobothnia and deal with themes that are largely identical: criticism of civilization, nature versus culture, animal rights, etc.
Jannike Lundgren is a trained librarian and literary scholar and now works as an assistant editor alongside her writing. Her debut novel came in 2016 with Nu ser man hästen på Sonfjället , which was also based on rural areas and animal rights issues. To the memory of Lajka is her second book.Jens Unosson is a self-employed farmer, writer, conservationist and musician - the latter perhaps best known as one of the members of The Spacious Mind, who have released a large number of albums and toured both in Europe and the United States. As a writer, he is a regular contributor to publications such as Miljömagasinet, Dagens ETC and Dala-Demokraten. Luften som kunde tala is his poetry debut.
