Nature-themed exhibitions by several artists

Several artists in a common story in the form of exhibitions and live performances.

For the exhibition Ett Liv För Ett Liv, three artists from three different fields have woven their works together in a common story. Here you can wander through Västerbotten's eight seasons and experience them through the reindeer with several senses.

Ethereal watercolors by Frida Stensmar that arouse curiosity and wonder. Music and intimate dialog by Francesca Vincentie with sound elements taken from the nearby area. Beautiful Sami crafts created by Ingemar Israelsson. (See more detailed presentation below.)

In the same room you can also see the exhibition Nature's Diversity, embroideries and watercolors by Sanna Bergmark, as well as the photo exhibition Naturvacker produced by an anonymous Instagram profile.

Have your mobile ready for the QR codes that guide you through the room.

INGEMAR ISRAELSSON - CRAFTS
Ingemar's interest in Sami handicrafts was awakened early in his youth when he grew up in Björkvattendalen in Tärnafjällen.

The objects he creates are mainly based on traditional Sámi craftsmanship, and Ingemar's specialty is fine Southern Sámi knives and cows. He also designs and makes modern objects, mainly jewelry and woodwork.

Ingemar Israelsson has participated in many exhibitions and his work can be found in several public institutions and museums. He has also received several artist grants. In addition to Ingemar's craftsmanship, he conducts reindeer husbandry in Svaipa Sami village together with his family.

The inspiration comes from early and contemporary craftsmen in the homeland who made beautiful and functional objects with simple tools. The craft materials come from nature and reindeer.

FRIDA STENSMAR - ART
Frida Stensmar is an illustrator and artist who gets her inspiration from the forests of Norrland, where she also grew up. She works with everything from illustrating children's books, graphic design, murals, workshops and everything in between. Digital or analog depending on the assignment, but no matter what, you can often find a scribble or a splash of watercolor. The handmade and creation is found in all her works.

The inspiration for the watercolors on display at Jörn railway station is the reindeer. The course of nature. A glimpse of life in the large, rugged forest. A clearcut that sweeps past. Animals that are there, but perhaps not really visible.

If you don't stop.
Standing still.
Waiting.
Longing.
One life. A family. A forest. A raven. An encounter. One death. A life.

FRANCESCA VINCENTINE - LYRICS & MUSIC
Drawing on folk music, RnB and pop, combined with Västerbotten's strong storytelling tradition, Francesca Vincentie touches on universal human themes in an intimate way. With her intimate voice and electro-acoustic music, she wants to overlap differences, create understanding between people and a sense of belonging.

The performance is a walk and a dialog between nature & animals, between light & darkness. The inspiration comes from interpretations of Frida's watercolors, from the reindeer and its harmony with Västerbotten's hinterland, told in tones & words.

Free entrance, but limited number of seats.

Organizer: The artists themselves in collaboration with Ursinnig festival.
