Welcome toREACT – the Swedish National Theater's international festival in collaboration with Västerbottensteatern.
Here you will encounter performing arts of the highest caliber, created by some of the world's most renowned theaters, companies, and artists. The festival program has been hand-picked to showcase the most innovative, relevant, and artistically cutting-edge work currently happening in international performing arts.
As a touring festival,REACTbrings the world's stages to you, highlighting contemporary issues from a broader perspective. No matter where you encounter the festival, you will have the opportunity to see productions that rarely reach Sweden. Works that challenge, surprise, and stretch the boundaries of what performing arts can be. At each festival location, local voices and artistry are also highlighted, in combination with the international guest performances, giving each city its own unique festival experience.
The festival will open at the Riksteatern in Hallunda and Stockholm on April 23, 2026, and then tour on to Gothenburg, Skellefteå, and Norrköping. The program is updated continuously.
