Are you interested in Amateur Theater?

Västerbottensteatern works to encourage, develop and strengthen amateur theater activities in Västerbotten. We have an amateur theater consultant service where individuals and groups can get advice and support in their work with theater. This can involve courses, registration support or script development, for example. It can also mean tips on theater exercises, scripts, scenography, pedagogy, costumes or other issues an amateur theater group may need help with. Help, time and advice can be obtained from Lillemor Skogheden. The amateur theater consultant is available to all amateur theater enthusiasts, including those who have been active for a very long time, and since the mission is to support and develop theater activities in the county, it is a free service for non-profit associations. For many years, the Summer Theater in Skellefteå has been a school for amateur theater enthusiasts.
Every year we bring in a bunch of curious actors on a non-profit basis to give them a deeper knowledge and insight into the theater process, while getting acting training and stage experience. Everything from rehearsals, choreography, costume fittings, masks and rehearsal performances to ensemble feeling and meeting the audience. It's a fantastic and hilarious experience.
