Storytelling festival

In Burträsk, we're kicking off Storytelling Festival Week on October 10 with Allan Edvall and a soup dinner!

What story are we going to hear today? – Well, I actually don’t know! The story spinner is spinning, and whichever one it stops on—that’s the one we’ll hear. Ages 4–7, accompanied by an adult. Presented by: Theresa Eriksson

The farmer and artist Karl-Bertil Stenmark (1912–1989) lived most of his life in Gummark. In the large country kitchen, he spent his evenings and nights carving wooden figures and painting pictures.

The processing of tar was one of the side jobs of the common people in the past. It also led to an economic boom and was a product of great importance to the merchants in Skellefteå.

We’ll be focusing on Birger Vikström, the author from Jörnsbygden, during our fall book club meetings, starting during the storytelling festival.

Third-grade students from Ursviksskolan and Yttre Ursviksskolan are displaying their thoughts, letters, poems, and drawings about what’s great about the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Exhibition at Sara Kulturhus.
